While Meagan is a relatively new addition to the Austin legal community, she has entered the scene with finesse and professional enthusiasm. Meagan received her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California, and later spent several years in the commercial real estate finance industry. Meagan further explored her interest in entrepreneurial endeavors and went on to found and operate several small business ventures. However, the idea of practicing law always maintained a strong presence.
Ultimately, Meagan pursued law school on an honors scholarship and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western Michigan University, Cooley Law School. While attending law school, Meagan was an Editor of Law Review and served on the board of several legal organizations. In addition to law school obligations, extracurricular academic obligations and family life, Meagan spent a considerable amount of time volunteering for the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center, Hillman Advocacy Program and interning with the Dispute Resolution Center of West Michigan.
More recently, Meagan has continued her love of giving back to the community by volunteering with various local organizations, including the CANLAW Clinic in Austin. Meagan was also selected as a member of the 2019 Austin Bar Association Leadership Academy, an organization established to facilitate Austin-area lawyers making a difference in the community, while promoting professional development. Equally as important is Meagan’s ability to focus on innovative solutions to intricate financial situations, including complex assets and businesses within the marital estate. Much like the other members of the firm, Meagan is a dog lover who spends much of her time with her three massive dogs. Meagan and her family also enjoy exploring the Austin food scene, travelling, and being outdoors whenever possible.
Nikki represented me a year ago when I went through my divorce. She was a tremendous asset as she guided me through the complexities of the divorce process with strong commitment and compassion. She truly cared about my family, and worked tirelessly for great results. Today I consider her my friend.
