nikki g. maples
For many years, Nikki G. Maples has been a familiar face in family law in Austin, Texas. She has dedicated her practice exclusively to family law matters dealing with custody disputes, modifications of prior family law court orders, and taking a creative approach when dividing marital assets in complex property cases.
Nikki has also expanded her professional exposure by actively participating in various legal organizations in the community and surrounding areas. Nikki has participated in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Associates Institute and gained experience and skills from the highest regarded family lawyers in the country. Also noteworthy is Nikki’s commitment to providing legal advice and service to veterans through the Veteran’s Legal Project. Her participation in Law-Related Education provides opportunities to mentor high school students at Teen Court, designed to help the youth whom are involved in the juvenile system. Of the many organizations in which Nikki is involved, she thoroughly enjoyed her involvement as a leader and member of the inaugural class of the Austin Young Lawyers Association Leadership Academy, where she collaborated with other members of the academy to fundraise for the Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid. Additionally, Nikki was accepted into the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Leadership Appointment, which she has become a team member for a Public Service Project. More recently, Nikki has committed to working alongside other lawyers to educate members of the community on the critical need for a new Travis County Courthouse building to ensure the safety of our local judiciary, attorneys, and members of the community so that access to justice is sustainable.
Nikki is passionate about helping families who are worried and scared about life beyond divorce or the result that divorce will have on their children. Not every family law matter has to be a heartbreaking event.
Nikki pursues divorces and other family law matters with creativity and sincerity. Every family is different, which makes most family law cases unique and different, leaving cookie-cutter solutions unworkable. It is Nikki’s focus to counsel and guide each client and family with integrity, honesty, and empathy.
On a more personal note, Nikki enjoys being active with her family and participating in local athletic events. With her passion for health and fitness, Nikki has offered her creativity to the Austin Fit Bar, and continues to work on projects geared to improve the health and physical wellness of Austin’s legal community.
Nikki represented me a year ago when I went through my divorce. She was a tremendous asset as she guided me through the complexities of the divorce process with strong commitment and compassion. She truly cared about my family, and worked tirelessly for great results. Today I consider her my friend.
